Having been laid off into lots of convenient size, is presented to persons desiring to settle in a young and thriving village, as a desirable locality, offering inducements of health, beauty, and good neighborhood.
Rockwall is situated in the Northwest corner of Kaufman County, two and a half miles east of Well's bridge over the East Fork of the Trinity, and is on the road leading from McKinney to Shreveport-- also on the road leading from Dallas to Greenville. It is located on a very elevated prairie commanding a view of fifteen miles all around; has timber near it, and springs adjoining; and is surrounded by as fine a farming country as can be found anywhere, well settled immediately around the town.
There are Merchants, Lawyers and Physicians already settled in the place.
There is a Presbyterian, a Baptist, a Methodist, and a Christian congregation in the settlement, and there is a good School house erected adjacent to the town.
Lots are offered for sale on accommodating terms, and will be given free of charge to competent Merchants, for shop use.
